Dear Readers,

This week I have decided to cancel a new blog post. This isn’t the time to talk about zero waste when more important issues are at play. Fighting for the environment is very important but so is equality for all human beings. I am sure you have heard about the tragic murder of George Floyd and the protests across America which followed.

Instead I will update this page with ways in which we can help the black lives matter movement.

Breonna Taylor was an award-winning EMT and first responder in Lousiville, KY, who loved helping her patients and her community. “She was an essential worker. She had to go to work,” her mother, Tamika Palmer said of her dedication to standing on the frontlines of this pandemic. “She didn’t have a problem with that.”
